The Team of the shooters is a small military unit, usually made out of two soldiers (the sniper and spotter), used by the military doctrine of the United States of America, Canada and the United Kingdom in operations' war of snipers, but also in certain special policy operations. In fact, both operators have the status of a sharpshooter, but take turns in the two roles mentioned. Of course, the primary task is the sniper marksmanship. The observer acts as a spotter, localizing the target, studying their moves, and it also handles communications with other friendly units. Equipped with a special optical instrument (spotting scope), the spotter will also verify the result of the roll, after having passed physical data (speed and wind direction etc..) to the buddy, able to influence the setting of the fire . Therefore, the spotter - equipped with a "normal" assault rifle, also ensures the "proximity-safety" of the team, rejecting / preventing any hostile unexpected moves of the enemy. In some armed forces, the sniper team includes a third man (flanker) to oversee the viewing angles that can not easily be covered by the other two soldiers.
